A 28-year-old man from San Ġwann is being held under arrest after he was found in possession of various types of drugs, allegedly intended for trafficking.
The suspect was placed under surveillance and arrested on Thursday afternoon in Ta’ Qali. A search carried out on him and at his residence led to the discovery of substances suspected to be cocaine, heroin, and cannabis, allegedly ready for trafficking, with an estimated street value of around €10,000.
Police also confiscated a vehicle and a sum of cash.
The man is being held at the Floriana Police lock-up and is expected to be arraigned in court today at around 1:00pm before Magistrate Leonard Caruana.
