The RSF bomb a mosque with a drone in Abu Shouk camp for displaced persons

Earlier today the RSF have struck a mosque at Abu Shouk IDP Camp outside of al-Fashir, Sudan, with a drone, that has probably been supplied to them by their main weapons-supplier and financier, the United Arab Emirates. The drone struck the mosque while people were gathered for their Fajr Prayers and dozens have been reportedly killed.

The RSF regularly strike civilians and commits atrocities in reaction to military setbacks. The RSF have recently lost control over the North Kordofan region. The US government has reacted to the Sudanese army’s victory, on behalf of its ally, the UAE, by adding sanctions against the Sudanese government.

Al-Fashir has been besieged by the RSF fore more than 500 days but its residents are holding out and resisting the RSF’s potential occupation of the city while enduring famine and constant bombardment. Abu Shouk Camp has also been regularly targeted by the RSF.
