Sudanese Army liberates North Kordofan

The Sudanese Armed Forces have liberated most of the region of North Kordofan including the region’s capital El Obeid and the city of Bara. The city of Bara is strategically connected to the Omdurman-Bara Highway that connects Khartoum with the Kordofan region.

The advanced of the Sudanese army which took place today was preceded by weeks of aerial bombardment against the Rapid Support Forces which controlled the region. The RSF retaliated against the airstrikes by launching UAE-supplied drones at the capital city of Kharthoum targeting civilian objects.

The sudden advance of the Sudanese army in North Kordofan will dent the RSF’s efforts to take over Al-Fashir which they have been besieging relentlessly for more than a year.

The United Arab Emirates has been stepping up its propaganda campaign against the Sudanese government following recent significant military losses by the RSF which it finances, arms and supports.

From the videos below citizens of El Obeid are seen celebrating the Army’s entry into the city and the other videos show the SAF soldiers celebrating their entry into Bara.
