Sudanese armed forces allied with the Sudanese Army have claimed victory over a recent wide-scale assault on the capital city of North Darfur, Al-Fashir. The assault was conducted with the aid of drones supplied by the United Arab Emirates but Sudanese fighters involved in the city also claim they fought against Colombian and South Sudanese mercenaries (footage below).
The Rapid Support Forces is augmenting its ranks with foreign mercenaries as it takes continued losses by the official Sudanese Army. The city of Al-Fashir, besieged by the RSF for more than two years is still free from their control.
A famine is also ongoing in the city as a result of the RSF’s blockade of the city. Residents who tried to flee the city were captured and tortured by the RSF (footage below).
