Police searching for driver after serious traffic accident in San Ġwann

On Monday, at around 7:00pm, police were informed of a traffic accident in Triq Bella Vista, San Ġwann.

Preliminary investigations revealed that a collision occurred between a Renault Megane and a Honda motorcycle driven by a 42-year-old man from Birkirkara.

The motorcyclist was given medical assistance on site and taken to hospital by ambulance, where he was certified as having sustained serious injuries and is currently in danger of losing his life.

Police are searching for the driver of the Renault, who allegedly fled the scene after the crash.

Magistrate Philip Galea Farrugia has been informed of the case and appointed an inquiry, while police investigations are ongoing.
