The Martinos family with Minerva Marine Group are buying Russian oil with Maltese-flagged ships

The family of oil-tankers called Minerva are owned by the Minerva Marine Group, a Greek multi-national shipping conglomerate that is owned by Andreas Martinos and his family. Forbes lists his net worth up to $1.8 billion. The Minerva oil tankers are carrying Maltese flags.

Industry sources have confirmed with us that Alkagesta, which is currently being investigated by both local and foreign authorities for dealing in Russian oil, have often chartered the Minerva oil tanker family for bunkering operations in Malta. The Minerva oil tankers regularly buy Russian oil from the Russian ports of the Black Sea.

The Minerva Group also has a series of shell companies across the world, including in Malta, and they also have a registered company in Liberia called Rourke Services Limited. The Minerva Group is trying to hide its traces with this series of shell and offshore companies.

This is an ongoing investigation.
