Police confirmed that the victim was a 54-year-old German woman who tragically lost her life while diving in Dwejra.

Tragedy struck in Dwejra, Gozo at around 12:20pm when emergency services were called to assist a person in difficulty.
An AFM helicopter was deployed to the area as officials moved swiftly to provide help.
Sadly, despite their prompt response, the individual was brought ashore and certified dead.
Police remain on site as investigations continue to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
