The union also said that the rights of employees who are not its members will be protected but said not to communicate with strike-breakers. The Nationalist Party has reiterated that the jobs of employees should remain a priority and called on the purchaser of HSBC Malta to up its offer to minority shareholders. HSBC Malta is in the process of being acquired by Credia Bank.
