Genocide returns to Darfur: no survivors from the 6th Infantry Division who fought to the last fighter

UPDATED: Top commanders of the 6th Infantry Division fled the city before it fell to the RSF.

Footage, images and reports of massacres in Al-Fashir have continued throughout the night with many individuals being reported killed by the RSF. The RSF conducted a massive purge of citizens trying to leave or exit the capital city of North Darfur after they captured. The RSF has also killed many high-profile individuals and tortured and beat Red Crescent aid-workers.

No survivors were left from the 6th Infantry Division who fought until their last breath and none of them were taken prisoner. Among the fighters who have been killed with the 6th Infantry Division was spokesperson for the Joint Forces in Al-Fashir, Ahmed Hussein (Adroob), was also killed.

Some of the civilians who have been murderer by the RSF include the scientist, Dr. Suleiman Hamid Atim, who was blind, and the spokesperson for the refugees of Zamzam, Khamis Dawda. Some residents of Al-Fashir managed to reach Tawila safely (featured image) but many others were not that lucky.

There are multiple reports that the RSF have also gone door-to-door killing civilians. There are no news of Muammar Ibrahim, the voice of Al-Fashir, who was kidnapped by the RSF. Many aid workers who organised community kitchens have also been murdered including Siham Hassan.

The UN Human Rights Office has urged the parties that have influence over the RSF to urge the RSF to protect civilians. The only party which has influence and control over the RSF is the United Arab Emirates which finances and backs them.

General Al-Burhan tried to minimise the gravity of the loss by calling the loss of Al-Fashir as a “tactical surrender” and vowed to hold the RSF accountable for all of their crimes.

An RSF delegation was in Washington as their genocidal militia massacred civilians in Al-Fashir.
