It was a memorable weekend for Starlites, who swept all three finals in the John Tabone Shield, asserting their dominance across every category in an action-packed afternoon of basketball.
The day began with the Amateur Men’s Final, where Starlites Blue established an early double-digit lead against Depiro Hoops and maintained control throughout, cruising to a comfortable 81–56 victory.
In the Women’s Final, fans were treated to a nail-biting encounter between Starlites Revive and Caffe Moak Luxol. The game went right down to the final seconds, but it was Starlites who edged past their rivals with a narrow 53–51 win.
The excitement reached its peak in the Men’s Final, which turned into a high-scoring spectacle between Hibernians and Starlites Revive. In a fast-paced, end-to-end battle, Starlites once again came out on top, sealing a 95–86 victory to complete a remarkable clean sweep.
