Corrupt criminal and previous Prime Minister Chief of staff, Keith Schembri was also one of the recipients of the public money granted to Vitals and Steward Health Care for the public hospitals concessions. Keith Schembri’s companies received various contracts from the concessionaries including up to €76,200 from Vitals to his companies 3City Design and FSV Limited. Sciacca Grill, another one of his companies also provided food products to the concessionaries but charges against Sciacca Grill were dropped in Court due to lack of evidence.
Keith Schembri is also suspected of being involved in the Technoline deal. His ex-wife is also being charged with money-laundering.
Another company that is suspected to have been a vehicle for kickbacks for Keith Schembri was Eurybates, which was owned by Ivan Vassallo – also being charged. The company received up to €1.9 million from Vitals and Steward’s. Another company called Impact, also suspected to be owned by Keith Schembri received up to €500,000.
The Prime Minister said that there was no corruption in the public hospitals concessions.
