More reminders of how the public money for the public hospitals concessions contract awarded to Vitals was used. €5 million was to used to pay Simon Cusens for selling his company Technoline to his previous employee in what seems to be an apparent and blatant deal of insider trading.
The previous Freemson boss of the Sovereign Grand Lodge of Malta sold his company Technoline to Ivan Vassallo for €5 million with the money coming from Vitals. Simon Cusens secured the purchase of the company with his buyers giving him a promissory note signed by the Vitals shareholders before Vitals signed the public concession contract with the government.
This incredibly unusual deal had warranted enough suspicions against Ivan Vassallo to charge him in Court but the Police have refused to charge Simon Cusens with any wrong doing. He is also suing us for publishing these facts. He denies any wrongdoing but is too ashamed to publicly admit the course of events which enabled him to secure up to €5 million from public funds.
The Prime Minister said that there was no corruption in the deals.
Simon Cusens is currently embroiled in a new controversy about irregular Masonic Lodges.
