4 road traffic fatalities in Malta during July-September 2025:

According to the latest NSO statistics Malta had 4 road fatalities this year from July to September (Q3).

The count of Malta’s road fatalities this year is 13 people, according to NSO statistics already exceeding last year’s tally of 12 persons. According to Eurostat statistics. Malta has a road fatality rate of around 21 fatalities per 1 million people which is one of the lowest in the EU.

Road accidents in Malta have decreased slightly in the first quarters of this year but fatalities are slightly higher. In 2023 Malta had 14 road fatalities.

The police have been increasing road checks.
