A 25-year-old Turkish man lost his life on Wednesday morning after falling the height of around two storeys at a construction site in Pembroke.
The fatal incident occurred at approximately 7:45 a.m. in Triq Pietru D’Armenia. A medical team and members of the Civil Protection Department were called to assist, however the worker was unfortunately certified dead on site.
Magistrate Joseph Mifsud has been informed of the case and appointed an inquiry. Police investigations, together with the Occupational Health and Safety Authority, are ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.
