Daniel Vorcaro, a Brazilian banker accused of extensive fraud, tried to flee to Malta on a private jet before he was arrested at the airport. The Brazilian press is reporting that Daniel Vorcaro is being accused by the Brazilian authorities of making illicit money movement of up to $2.5 million which he gained by defrauding investors with fake credit securities promising a whopping 40% return.
Seven people have been arrested in total in an operation by the Brazilian called Zero Compliance. Up to 25 properties were also raided in different states including in ย Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Minas Gerais, Bahia and the Federal District. Daniel Vorcaro was arrested at the Guarulhos airport in Sao Paolo. He says that his final destination was Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, to meet with the bank’s buyers. Reports state that he tried to flee on a Dassault Falcon 7x.
Past press reports also implicate him in other forms of credit fraud involving a piece of land as collateral.
