A 24-year-old Albanian man has been arrested following extensive police investigations into a string of thefts reported over recent months.
Police had received several reports of a suspect entering various properties and stealing a range of items, including cash, workers’ bags, laptops, mobile phones, and other electronic equipment.
Investigations revealed that the thefts took place in hotels and restaurants in St Julian’s, private offices in Qormi, and even a residential home for the elderly in Luqa.
Security footage collected from the locations where the incidents occurred consistently pointed to the same individual as the alleged perpetrator. This evidence helped police identify the suspect, ultimately leading to his arrest.
The man is expected to be charged in court in the coming days.
