Russia has been bombarding Ukraine relentlessly with airstrikes since last night with airstrikes still ongoing. Since last night Russia has launched up to 596 drones and dozens of missiles at Ukrainian cities and civilians. At least two civilians were killed as a result of the strikes and 16 others injured. The cities of Kyiv and Dnipro were particularly hit while air-defence brought down most of the drones.
Russia is deliberately escalating its attacks against civilians to put more pressure on Ukraine to capitulate. The US is pressuring Ukraine to capitulate with a set of demands proposed by Russia. Europe is supporting Ukraine. EU officials will be busy this week pressuring Belgium to support the new EU’s law over the confiscation of Russian assets. The law will be rolled out soon by the EU Commission.
US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff is in Moscow for more talks with his Russian friends and Vladimir Putin. Viktor Orban was also in Moscow.
