The national event “Mixja tal-President” (President’s Walk) got underway this morning, as participants made the symbolic journey from Sant’Anton Palace to the President’s Palace in St George’s Square, Valletta.
Thousands of people took part in this solidarity initiative, gathering to support a cause that continues to unite the Maltese community. Among those attending were Nationalist Party Leader Alex Borg together with Sarah Bajada, Prime Minister Robert Abela, and several Members of Parliament from both sides of the House—reflecting a rare moment of national unity.
At the start of the event, President Myriam Spiteri Debono addressed the crowd, emphasising that the unity shown on a day like today strengthens the ongoing work of the Malta Community Chest Fund. She noted that such collective support remains essential in helping those most in need.
The walk continues to grow as one of Malta’s key annual charitable events, bringing together people of all ages in a spirit of generosity and togetherness.
