ADPD- Green Party Leader Sandra Gauci has declared her solidarity with teachers and staff at Saint Clare’s College after a stabbing took place at the school earlier this morning. The Green Party Leader also underlined the importance of effective communication by the Police and the media in order not to foment a wave of populism. The children involved in the incident were foreigners.
She urged the authorities to provide psychological support both to the victim and the aggressor.
Sandra Gauci also stated that the authorities have long been warned about the deteriorating security situation in schools and accused the government of ignoring these warnings. She also inferred that it should be the State’s responsibility to ensure security in schools.
