Student stabbing sparked after mobile-rift

The Maltese Herald has received reports that the stabbing incident at St Clare’s College, carried out by a Libyan student, was triggered by a dispute between students after one of them reported the other for hiding a mobile phone in a locker. The school also confiscated the student’s mobile phone

The victim is still in hospital and was yesterday registered as being in critical condition.

ADPD-Green Leader Sandra Gauci declared her solidarity with the school’s staff and said that the government had ignored warnings that the security situation in schools is detoriarating.
