Bank of Valletta accumulates up to 0.076% of its own shares in total buybacks this year

Bank of Valletta has announced that it has accumulated up to 0.076% of its own shares this year with its share buyback programme. This was the first share buyback programme by the bank in many years. BOV purchased 488,450 shares at the price of of €1.8956 per share, for a total amount of €925.910.

The shares were bought at the same time when Unicredit sold more than half its stake in BOV.

BOV’s results came out positive this year but lower than last year’s record-breaking year.

BOV’s stock price was at €1.94 per share during the time of writing.
