A 43-year-old man from Ħal Għargħur was seriously injured in the early hours of Sunday morning after falling at a construction site in Mellieħa.
Police were informed of the incident at around 4:00 a.m. and immediately proceeded to Triq il-Kbira, where preliminary investigations revealed that the man had entered a site that is currently under construction and fell.
A medical team, together with members of the Civil Protection Department, assisted the injured man at the scene before he was taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance. He was later certified to be suffering from serious injuries.
Police investigations into the incident are ongoing.
