Maria Micallef’s appointment as Chairperson of the Malta Council Economic and Social Development was welcomed by the major social partners including the General Workers’ Union and the Malta Chamber of Commerce.
Maria Micallef was Chairperson of Air Malta from 2014-2017 and CEO of the General Soft Drinks Co. Ltd. (GSD), Coca-Cola’s bottling plant in Malta. She also held executive roles for the Waterfront Hotel and Arkadia. She is the first woman to lead the MCESD.
Maria Micallef is replacing David Xuereb.
