Cambodian government closes down the last China Scam Town

Earlier this week, the Cambodian government raided the major Chinese-Town in the so-called Casino Complex, Weng Chen, and shut down the last major Chinese pig-butchering operation, detaining up to 2,000 individuals most of them Chinese workers. The workers are being deported back to their home countries (footage below).

The big raid comes after China clamped down on the scam centres in Burma and arrested the leaders of various scam-groups including Ming Guoping and Ming Zhenzhen of the Ming Group, who owned the Crouching Tiger Villa compound in Myanmar and also the leaders of the Prince Group, Chen Zhi, Xu Ji Liang and Shao Ji Hui. The Cambodian government is now taking a strong position against the scam centres and vowed to closed them all down by next April.

The scam centres were used for global scam operations, often described as pig-butchering scams that targeted individuals persistently in various creative ways to extract as much wealth as possible from their victims.

Thousands of workers are believed to have been kidnapped and held against their will to work in these centres. The scam groups also engaged in human trafficking, extortion and also organ harvesting. China began a massive crackdown against these centres late last year.

Many people across the world have been scammed by these centres with billions of US Dollars appropriated and then washed through crypto-currency blockchains and bitcoin. Although many Chinese ring and cartel leaders organising these operations have been arrested, many others responsible still remain at large.
