More Ħamrun-Cocaine Culture: Michael tal-Bżar

A relatively successful cocaine dealer from the Marsa/Hamrun area seems to be Michael tal-Bzar who has publicly admitted that his earnings are from cocaine and he also routinely advertises his money-laundering practices. Michael tal-Bzar would also make a good scoop for a newspaper if he gives an interview – apart from potentially being a good subject to both an anthropological study and a criminal investigation.

Michael tal-Bżar laundered his money in cars, boats, gold, horse racing and horses that he purchases from Spain, and also a retail shop in Qormi. One of his hobbies is going abroad to shoot at wild birds. He also donated money to Puttinu Cares and has up to five employees.

He is unrelated to the “Money No Problem Gang” but comes from the same culture.  Would be interesting to know more about him as a case-study.

Out of curiosity, would someone like him have evaded prosecution when John Rizzo was Police Commissioner?

No fuckin way would anyone be so blatantly living off criminal earnings and manage to avoid investigation. John Rizzo comes from the era we can only be nostalgic about…

Where is the means test? All these are probably registered as unemployed while to hopefully manage to own just one of those cars an honest person should only be a successful businessman paying hundreds of thousands in taxes. Where are the FIAU? The banks? Police? One quick check of all ‘car’ dealers will show same pattern. Unemployed until their late 40s then all of a sudden living out of rental earnings and selling of cars. Big question is never asked. First sep to purchase lots of properties and cars without loans and proven history of solid income. Once again, fiau, police ZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzz……

But in Malta, corruption is just a perception? or a way of life? So many illegalities going on such a small island, can anyone even have a doubt that corruption in Malta is alive and kicking?

Hija ovvja li ma jridu jaghmlu xejn kontra dawn in nies ghax shab maghhom. Din hija l mafja vera u mhux l bombi u sparar.
