A 30-year-old man from Pembroke is in critical condition after being injured in a traffic accident in Triq il-Madliena, Swieqi, early on Friday morning.
Police said the incident occurred at around 12.30am. Preliminary investigations indicate that the man was riding a Honda motorcycle when he lost control and crashed into a wall.
A medical team provided assistance at the scene, and the injured man was transported to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance.
He was later certified as suffering from serious injuries and is reported to be in danger of death.
Magistrate Joseph Mifsud has been informed of the case and has appointed an inquiry. Police investigations are ongoing.
