UPDATED: Car overturns on Mdina Central Link after early-morning crash

The incident occurred at around 5:00am on Triq l-Imdina, Ħ’Attard, earlier than initially reported. Preliminary investigations found that the 35-year-old woman from Rabat suffered injuries after losing control of the Ford Fiesta she was driving, which overturned.

A medical team assisted at the scene before she was taken by ambulance to Mater Dei Hospital for treatment. She was later certified as having sustained grievous injuries.

Police investigations are ongoing.

A car overturned on the Mdina Central Link on Monday morning after the driver lost control of the vehicle. The incident occurred at around 6am and involved a single car. Emergency services responded to the scene, and the driver was taken to hospital for treatment.

Police said the accident happened on a roundabout section along Triq l‑Mdina in the direction of Attard. The driver, a 35-year-old woman from Rabat, lost control of her Ford Fiesta, causing the vehicle to overturn.

A medical team assisted the woman on site before she was transported to Mater Dei Hospital for further care.

Her condition was not known at the time of publication. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the circumstances of the crash.
