Motorcyclist seriously injured in traffic collision in Għasri

A 36-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured following a traffic collision early this morning on Triq l-Għarb, in L-Għasri. Police were informed of the incident at around 6:45am and officers were dispatched to the scene immediately.

According to preliminary investigations by the Malta Police Force, the crash involved a Nissan Qashqai driven by a 38-year-old man resident in San Lawrenz and a Honda motorcycle ridden by a 36-year-old man resident in L-Għarb.

A medical team and ambulance were called to the site. The motorcyclist was transported to Gozo General Hospital for treatment, where he was later certified to have sustained serious injuries.

Police investigations into the circumstances of the collision are ongoing.
