Two Somali men were arrested on Monday at around 11:00am after police discovered suspected synthetic cannabis in their possession during a routine patrol in Triq Il-Marsa, Il-Marsa.
According to the Malta Police Force, officers on routine rounds noticed a group of individuals whose behaviour raised suspicion. The police stopped the persons and carried out searches.
During searches on a 31-year-old Somali man resident in Marsa, officers found 60 sachets containing a substance suspected to be synthetic cannabis. ย A second search on another Somali man, aged 30 and resident in San ฤ wann, led to the discovery of a further seven sachets of the same suspected substance, along with an amount of cash.
Both men were arrested at the scene. Police investigations into the case are ongoing.
