Animal rights activists opposing planning application to sanction illegal lions’ enclosure next to children’s playground

An owner of a “farm,” Joshua Grima, has applied to the Planning Authority to sanction his illegal lions’ enclosure, which was supposed to be a sheep pen. The structure and its surroundings have been modified to accommodate the lions, and the owner is now seeking regularisation.

You can find more details about the case here.

The illegal lions enclosure is just right next to a children and family park (Sant’Antin Family Park).

You can submit your objections to the Planning Authority by the end of Friday here representations@pa.org.mt
