The General Worker’s Union has declared a go-slow strike at the Teva pharmaceutical factory in Bulebel. The strike is being declared following failed negotiations between the Union and the management over the collective agreement and salary increases.
Workers at the factory have had their collective agreement expired by up to three years with no salary increases awarded by the company since then. The company has been investing significantly in its machinery and infrastructure and announced up to €30 million in investment in 2022 but workers are protesting that they are being left out.
Teva is an Israeli multi-national company that employs up to 400 people at its site is in Bulebel. It currently has a market value of up to $39.4 billion.
