At 21.00hrs last night, a 35 year old man from Iklin was taken to Mater Dei after being injured in a traffic accident in Triq L-Kappillan Mifsud, Santa Venera.
Police arrived at the scene immediately, where preliminary investigations indicated that the crash involved a 35-year-old motorcyclist riding a Honda and a Peugeot 308 driven by a 30-year-old man from San ฤ wann.
The injured party was immediately given by the medical team and then taken to Mater Dei hospital for treatment by ambulance – where he was certified to be in critical condition.
Police have since opened an investigation.
