An afternoon car crash yesterday has grievously injured a motorcyclist.
Police have stated that around the hours of 4.15PM that they were informed of a car crash in Triq l-Pitiross in Għaxaq. Preliminary investigation on site done by the police resulted that the crash happened between a Suzuki Alto – driven by a 75 year old man from Bormla – and a Sym Symphony SR motorbike driven by a 31 year old Pakistani man from Żejtun.
A medical team along with an ambulance were dispatched to the scene were the motocyclist was certified to be suffering from grievous injuries and taken to Mater Dei hospital for further care.
The Magistrate Franco Agius LL.D has opened an inquiry whilst police have opened their own independent investigations.
