Alex Agius Saliba against lead-hunting ban in the EU says Europe is hyopocrite for spending on defence

The political discourse in Malta rapidly keeps deteriorating as the Labour Party politicians keep conjuring up fictional narratives and banal arguments to justify their policies and actions. In a latest statement made by Alex Agius Saliba about an EU proposed lead-ammunition hunting ban in the EU, Alex Agius Saliba told his supporters that the EU is being hypocritical.

According to Alex Agius Saliba, the EU is being hypocritical as it invests in defence while it also bans lead-ammunition hunting.

Please someone with a philosophy or a maths degree explain to me the connection between the two issues because I can’t find one.

On amore serious note, the Labour Party is being completely disingenuous about Malta’s security and defence policy and Labour is avoiding a serious discussion about this matter. After exploiting the “neutrality” issue for partisan gain, Labour can’t explain to its supporters that Malta is making use of the French and Spanish navies for its defence and security and that it is asking for further military and defence cooperation through the EU Council.

Labour is also avoiding a public discussion on the security risks being posed by the Russian shadow fleet just outside our shores. Basically, Labour has created a toxic atmosphere of political division with excessive propaganda and banalities that it is now unable to discuss openly very serious national issues.
