More intellectual leaps: from agriculture to car-parks

A plot of agricultural land behind the Addolorata Cemetry has suddenly turned into a car-park after an initial Planning Authority Application was meant to develop agricultural facilities in the land. The original planning application, that was approved, allowed for the construction of an agricultural room and a water reservoir, but instead, the land has been turned into a car-park.

The agricultural sector has been totally ignored in economic and strategic national policy and many owners of agricultural land are finding creative ways to monetise it without applying any agriculture. Owners of these lands are increasingly opting to use them for as car-park and also solar-panel farms.
