Swieqi United Overpower Neighbors Melita in Five-Goal Blitz

At the Victor Tedesco Stadium, Swieqi United delivered a statement performance, dismantling local rivals Melita with a clinical 5-0 victory. The Owls wasted no time asserting their dominance, with Augusto Caseres finding the back of the net just two minutes into the match.
The pressure remained relentless, and Kian Leonardi doubled the advantage from the penalty spot on the half-hour mark. The second half saw no respite for Melita; Caseres completed his brace in the 57th minute before a quick-fire double from Daniel Agius (65’) and Salam Kojo Mawuena (67’) put the result beyond any doubt.

Although St. Andrews showed signs of life in the second half—with Elizeu converting a 51st-minute penalty—Birżebbuġa held firm to secure the three points.
