The Maltese Herald declares its full solidarity and support to The Shift News in light of the ongoing civil Court Case between The Shift News editor Caroline Muscat and Prime Minister Robert Abela.

Caroline Muscat opened a libel case against the Prime Minister after he smeared The Shift News, saying that 90% of the stories they publish are false. In court, through lawyer Pawlu Lia, the Prime Minister is demanding that The Shift News publish its donors list.
We are now very proud to be among these donors.
The Shift News is one of the few press outlets in Malta, like ourselves, that do not receive or depend on government funding.
The free press in Malta is at high risk and the struggle continues.
