Parada hat-trick fires ten-man Xewkija Tigers to resounding win over Ghajnsielem

Xewkija Tigers FC secured a dominant 5-2 victory over Ghajnsielem FC at the Gozo Stadium on Saturday, bolstered by a brilliant hat-trick from Brian Alejandro Parada. Despite playing nearly the entire second half with ten men, the Tigers’ clinical finishing kept their hopes of climbing the table alive.
The match started in favor of Xewkija when Stefan Cassar opened the scoring in the 14th minute [1]. Ghajnsielem had a golden opportunity to level the score before halftime, but Deison Arvey Cuero saw his 34th-minute penalty saved.
The second half began with high drama as Xewkija’s Adrian Parnis was sent off in the 46th minute. Ghajnsielem quickly took advantage, with Ewertton Jose Spirandelli Costa (Tom Tom) converting a penalty in the 50th minute to make it 1-1. However, the parity was short-lived. Brian Alejandro Parada restored the Tigers’ lead just four minutes later and added a second in the 59th minute to make it 3-1.
Daniel Murillo Borrero pulled one back for the Blacks in the 68th minute, but a late surge from Xewkija sealed the result. Angel Manuel Bustos found the net in the 81st minute, and Parada completed his hat-trick in stoppage time (90+2’) to finalize the 5-2 scoreline.
