ONE and Net News ruined a finance press conference with stupidities, insults and crass discourse

I was in my favourite zone today, listening to a technocrat saying nerdish things, explaining numbers and allowing journalists to ask him pertinent and serious questions on serious matters of public finance. It was one of the rare moments that journalists had the Minister for Finance Clyde Caruana all to themselves. We had a golden opportunity to ask intelligent questions to one of the last remaining intelligent people at the Labour Party.

We tried to do our part.

Then all of a sudden, my peace was shattered as I started hearing loud and grinding noises nearby and the noise was just getting louder and louder.

Was it a construction site?

No.

It was the ONE and NET News pip-squeaks asking stupid questions, masking derogatory comments and hurling a tit for tat partisan discourse imbued with crass language that included intestines, constipation and anal problems.

I was repulsed and left the room. These idiots have never watched a press conference on finance, and they have no idea how to conduct themselves in that setting, but they have the audacity to go to the Finance Minister and publicly hurl at him the most stupid inanities one can imagine.

  1. Net had the chance to ask minister why the country cannot afford metro but can afford millions of money wasted in useless projects, corrupt contracts, jobs and propoganda. Gave up on this country. No vote
