A man was seriously injured and is reportedly in critical condition after a garage was engulfed by flames in Msida a short while ago.
Civil Protection Department firefighters were called to the scene in Triq il-Kunฤizzjoni, where a fire had broken out inside a garage. The fire was caused by the explosion of gas cylinders which were stored in the garage. Emergency crews responded promptly to bring the blaze under control.
A medical team and ambulance were also dispatched after reports that a man suffered injuries during the incident. He was taken to Mater Dei Hospital for treatment.
Police officers are also on site and immediately launched investigations into the cause of the fire.
