March sets a new record for inbound tourism in Malta

According to the latest NSO release, the total amount of inbound tourists in Malta for March this year was estimated at 321,652 and an increase of up to 11.3% from the same month last year. This is also the highest number for the month of March making it a record-breaking month.

Total nights spent amounted to 1,705,865, and total expenditure reached โ‚ฌ234.1 million with the largest share of guest nights.The highest number of tourists cane from the UK (69,095), followed by Poland (46,240) and Italy (43,010). German, French and Spanish tourists followed suit.

Inbound tourists in the first three months of 2026 amounted to 806,563, while total nights reached 4.5 million, with total tourist expenditure for the period January-March 2026 estimated at โ‚ฌ584.7 million, and expenditure per capita at โ‚ฌ725.
