His background points directly to the club’s new strategy of constructing a professional, corporate-level “business plan.” Catalmafo is also known to be close to former Prime Minister Joseph Muscat who currently leads the Malta Premier League. His company has also been actively involved in organising a national marathon race in Malta. He was also involved in crypto in the ‘Blockchain Malta’ days but has since stepped back from that scene.
Alfred Attard holds a strong and well-known profile within Maltese football circles, primarily recognised for his extensive background as a local coach and former technical administrator. His footballing expertise bridges the gap between the incoming high-net-worth investors and the core requirements of running a successful domestic football operation. Attard was a Labour Party councilor in Birkirkara and is regularly seen as a pundit on local football TV programmes. He is currently coaching Qrendi FC, an Amateur I league side.
