As expected, former Labour minister Chris Cardona has been appointed President of Birkirkara FC. This followed the resignation of Michael Valenzia on Wednesday and occurred during a rowdy AGM where political slogans were also chanted according to sources.
After the vote, Cardona said that he was ready to start work from day one with a long task list ahead. The Maltese Herald also published a list of personnel who will be involved in the club.
