Jimmy Magro and Yorgen Fenech share the same specialised division in prison

The corrupt former Secretary General of the Labour Party, Jimmy Magro, who has just been sent to jail over bribery, is currently sharing a prison division with Yorgen Fenech. The division is Division 17, which was recently refurbished mainly to cater for white-collar criminals like Yorgen Fenech.

The division currently houses only three people and is equipped with air conditioning, a refrigerator and a washing machine.

Imagine living all your life at Portomaso and suddenly youโ€™re in prison sharing a refrigerator and a washing machine with Jimmy Magro. It must suck really hard. Still, these are very privileged conditions compared to other prisoners, who have to share amenities with even more fellow inmates.

The white-collar prison section is a relatively new phenomenon in Maltese history and is something to watch. Yorgen Fenech also managed an intimate relationship with a prison manager: she was subsequently fired from her post.
Note, that I know that Yorgen Fenech is out on bail. Hopefully, he will be back where he belongs very soon. His nice little spot is waiting for his return.

    If there is any justice with regards to corrupt officials they will need to make some room for Joseph Muscat, Konrad Mizzi and Keith Schembri.
