Cospicua Rangers extend lead in National Blackball Championship

Cospicua Rangers continued their impressive run in the National Blackball Championship, strengthening their grip at the top of the standings and opening up a five-point advantage over nearest challengers Qormi Pinto A.

The Bormla outfit registered an 11-7 victory over Mrieħel Billiard House A to maintain their strong momentum. Meanwhile, Qormi Pinto A kept pace in second place after narrowly defeating Ħamrun 147 A by an 11-9 scoreline.

Regional Championship – Section A

Qormi Pinto B remain firmly in control of Section A, holding a comfortable nine-point lead at the summit after an emphatic 11-4 win against Żebbuġ St Joseph A.

San Ġwann Tiki Taka Boys moved level on points with Ħamrun 147 C following a dominant 11-0 triumph over the same opponents.

Regional Championship – Section B

Ħamrun 147 B continued their flawless campaign, making it nine victories from nine matches with an 11-5 success against San Ġwann Tiki Taka Spartans.

Elsewhere, Siġġiewi MonteKristo A secured an 11-7 victory over PL Balzan A.

Community League – Section A

Cospicua Rangers B and Birkirkara Juve shared the spoils in one of the closest encounters of the week, playing out a 10-10 draw.

Ħamrun 1889 Bar, Birżebbuġa St Peter’s B and Siġġiewi MonteKristo C all registered convincing victories. Ħamrun 1889 Bar defeated Selmun Sports Club C 11-7, Birżebbuġa St Peter’s B cruised past Mrieħel Billiard House B 11-1, while Siġġiewi MonteKristo C overcame Żebbuġ St Joseph B 11-5.

Community League – Section B

Ħamrun 147 D remain top of the standings with a seven-point cushion, although they have played one match more than closest rivals San Ġwann Tiki Taka Buddies.

Ħamrun 147 D defeated Birkirkara Bocci 11-6 to continue their consistent form, while San Ġwann Tiki Taka Buddies responded with an impressive 11-3 victory over Selmun Sports Club B.
