Almost no foreign diplomat has headed Russia’s warnings yesterday to leave Kyiv against an official statement issued by the Russian government urging foreign diplomats to leave Kyiv in anticipation of new waves of large missile and drone attacks against the city.
Russia is retaliating in desperation against Kyiv as its front-lines in the south of Ukraine are getting disrupted with long-range missile and drone strikes against its supply-lines. The Russian army in the south of Ukraine, mainly in Kherson and Zaporizhzhia are facing significant supply shortages as their supply lines have been disrupted.
Yesterday, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha led diplomats from more than 70 missions to the strike sites and laid flowers at memorials for victims while expressing solidarity. The visits were made in reaction to Russia’s massive aerial attack on Kyiv earlier at the start of the week. In it its attack, Russia targeted civilian buildings and even national and cultural heritage. At least four civilians were killed as a result of the attacks and many other wounded.
