Earlier this week on Wednesday, Portugal recorded the highest temperature in history for the month of May at 40.3°C in the town of Mora, south of Portugal. The record reading comes during an unprecedented heatwave engulfing the Iberian peninsula and also many parts of France.

Europe is consistently recording consecutive record temperatures every Summer resulting in many deaths caused by the heatstroke and related conditions, apart from pushing inflation higher.
Current temperatures in Europe are well above the average. Sea temperatures are also rising consistently nearing to record highs again this year.
