An explosion with a subsequent fire was reported in Dingli around 1030pm. The Civil Protection Department also posted that it was involved in tackling a structural fire in Dingli.
The Civil Protection Department issued a statement and said that a structure was burnt and responded to the scene with no one injured in the incident.
According to sources who spoke to The Maltese Herald, the explosion was caused by a gas cylinder that went off in a room close to Dingli Cliffs.
