Milk goes up by 6 cents as inflation statistics remain delayed

Benna’s flagship product, the fresh milk one litre carton (celestial blue) has gone up by 6 cents from €1.26 to €1.32. The other medium blue carton has gone up higher by 7 cents. All of Benna’s products have increased in price.

Benna has traditionally strived to keep its prices on the low-end and the price increases follow the regular and consistent food price increases in Malta. Inflation in Malta has gone mainly higher due to food prices.

In the meantime, the National Statistics Office is late with its inflation statistics publication and is yet to release its full statistical data for inflation. It submitted a CPI recording of 1.9% to Eurostat but details are not yet publicly available.
