The National Statistics Office has stopped publishing statistics in the month of July even missing today’s inflation release which customarily follows the EU’s CPI readings.
The latest Eurostat reading shows that the NSO submitted to Eurostat a 1.9% inflation increase in Malta for the month of June but the statistical data has not been released along with other statistics that remain missing.
They released the libraries statistics today, although they were originally scheduled for publication yesterday. However, this statistical release does not include data on book imports, which used to be published alongside it.
We will later confirm what’s the trouble with the NSO although something surely seems amiss.
